Symantec unlock server group error


Warning Error : ¨Can't communicate with the Server Group¨

Cara 1 :

Reset the

Reset the LoginCaCertIssueSerialNum registry value on Primary server
Stop the Symantec AntiVirus service
In registry go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\LanDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\ScSComms\LocalData

  1. In the right pane, double-click the LoginCaCertIssueSerialNum value.
  2. Under Base, click Decimal.
  3. If the Value data box shows a number that is larger than 256, then replace with a 1.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close Registry
  6. Start the Symantec AntiVirus service.



Cara 2 :
With the desription of the issue it looks like the accounts key is corrupt. It is located under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion.
copy and paste the following contents in a notepad and save it as filename.reg under all file types.
Take a back up of the same  registry key and delete it.
Double click the new reg file to add it  to the registry.

Then run the iforgot.exe the ususal way.The user name is admin(case sensitive)

Schedule untuk restart server.........
